How to Play Jacks or Better

Jacks or Better video poker online follows the same rules as Draw Poker with a few minor differences. In Jacks or Better, you are not playing against other players and there is no raise. The objective of the game is to have a winning poker hand with at least a pair of jacks or better, otherwise, you lose.

  • To start playing, you must select the number of credits to play per turn. Credits start from as little as  $0.25, $0.50 or more depending on the machine.
  • The game starts with the Random Number Generator dealing you five cards.
  • Next you select which cards you want to keep or discard to draw new cards.
  • You can only discard and draw new cards once, so when the cards are replaced, your final hand is set. This determines whether you win or lose. If you have any of poker hands displayed on the paytable you receive a payout according to the ranking of poker hands.
